UNEXPECTED FORMAT CHANGE
For a moment, Morgana was paralysed between giving up and hopping onto her horse and just making a break for it. But there wasn't really much to do about it, was there? She would have to work on doing this another day.
"You go ahead. I'll talk to them to give you time."

He sighed loudly, before dismounting from his horse. He couldn't deny that their guard were persistent. He wondered where this persistence was - but he stopped the thought. It served no purpose. There were guards, and they were persistent, and now they were gone as well.
He handed his horse off to one of the guards to take back into the stables.
"You will have to work on your response time," he said to one of them in passing. "If you had taken any longer, we would have been long gone."
He didn't wait for a response as he walked back towards the castle.

"Some of you men, take the Lady Morgana out for a hunt. Make sure she - just make sure nothing happens that will cause any problems."
He looked to Morgana, "Do try not to accidentally injure your guards. We know what your aim is like. And I expect you to bring home something at least half decent."
The idea of hunting, while being trailed by their ever present guard, was greatly lacking in appeal. Besides, there was probably work to be done. There was always work to be done, it seemed.

"What are you on about? If I continue to do this. Continue to do what exactly?"

He kept walking straight ahead. He did not wish to have this discussion today. His jaw was clenched, as he tried to calm his nerves. It would not do to get angry at Morgana so publicly. This was not the place or the time.
But at her last sentence, he couldn't help but turn, eyes narrowing at her as he stepped closer and hissed. "And you are the queen. Do not be a hypocrite, Morgana. Were you not just offering to distract them in order to buy me time? If it was as simple as what you say, why would the king even need a diversion?"

He gave her a look, before pulling away and continuing on towards the castle. After a couple of steps, he stopped, recalling their positions and recalling how they arrived here. He was still angry at her, angry at this entire argument and situation, but there was also fear there as well. These woods were dangerous. They were even more dangerous now than they had been months ago, when his father and Morgana were ambushed.
He rounded back, walking past Morgana and approaching one of the guards.
"I want six of you men to escort the Lady Morgana on a hunt. Do not let her out of your sight. And if she grows tired of that, take her somewhere else, I do not care where. I have very important matters to attend to and I cannot be disturbed by anyone, even the queen."
He gave Morgana a meaningful look, before turning away and not looking at her as he walked past.

"I'll speak with you later, my lord."

Irregardless, he proceeded back to the castle, matters of state and import no doubt waiting for his undivided attention.
