Summary: The Wonder Chef wanders the land, imparting the joy of cooking to all.
Warnings: Silliness.

There's an object you don't recall being there yesterday. Maybe it's the fact that it's a giant yellow rubber duck sitting in Robin Hood's base in Sherwood, or the fact that it's a green pumpkin in the Princess's chambers. It could be because it's a large bus stop sign leaning on the wall of the evil witch or wizard's labratory. It could be a lucky waving cat on the wicked queen's vanity or a statue of a wooden bear in the fairy godmother's cottage, in any event, the object is new and out of place.

It clearly needs to be investigated.

((OOC: Okay, so this is how I decided to do it. One log for everyone. Post a comment with your fairy tale character interacting with the new mysterious object in their setting, and they'll get to meet Guy the Wonder Chef and be magically taught a recipe. Feel free to have this interaction at any point in your character's fairy tale--right before the happily ever after wedding, or in the middle of the dramatic fight scene or just in some down time, any sort of situation and scenario is fair game!))

The princess watched him nearly fall and had a good laugh over it. He looked so silly, arms flapping. But he could not float; not like her.

"You are a silly man!" she cried. "If you're a man at all, for you were a big, shiny round thing a moment ago."

Guy smiled awkward, getting his balance and climbing back to his feet on the branch. He balanced easily enough now that he was transforming in mid-air unexpectedly.

"Sorry about that miss." He nodded, raised a hand to keep his unwieldy chef's hat from flopping over. "You see, I am the mysterious gourmet, the Wonder Chef! Congratulations on finding me!" The lines seemed to take over. "The creamy rice and warm spices, I'll teach you how to make Risotto!"

That out of the way... "Haha, yeah I'm a man. The round thing was a beach ball, a disguise."

[hypospraying]

The princess laughed again at his ridiculous manner. "Risotto? What a silly, funny word! I do not know what that is! And how shall you teach me to make it? Can it be made in a tree?"

"No, but I can give you the recipe. I think usually I'm just supposed to impart the knowledge magically but I haven't quite figured that out yet." He fished around in his pockets, producing a folded piece of paper and offering it to the princess.

"Pardon my asking, but do you usually float around this way?"

[hypospraying]

Curious, the princess took the paper and looked at it for a moment before placing it into the pocket of her dress.

"Oh, yes, always! I have no gravity, you see."

[explains]

"No gravity?" That's a surprise. Is this another fairy tale? He's never heard one like it. But it explains the floating and the string.

"What's it like?"

[hypospraying]

"I don't know," she laughed. "It's all I've ever been. I cannot describe it."

[explains]

"It must be amazing to fly. But inconvenient, too." There were about twenty questions waiting to be asked before Guy stopped himself. This was another fairy tale of course, logic or physics were probably not going to apply. Any inquiry along those lines would likely be fruitless... Assuming she would know the answers in the first place.

"I hope you're able to find your gravity."

[hypospraying]

"It can be limiting. I must be tethered, or the wind would take me away. I cannot fly, only float."

Christine laughed at his words. "Oh no, I rather like being this way. I do not want to be a silly walker on the ground!" The very notion was hilarious to her.
