She looked at him, curious. "This is not your home?"

"No," he replied, "No, the land of my birth is far away now. Tibet will forever be my home."

"I am sorry. What country are we in?" A pause, and then she ventured, "Greece?"

"Quite right. This is Sanctuary, a few miles away from the outskirts of Athens."

"Athena's city." Her classical education was not her strongest point, but she did recall that much. It made sense. "What is the year here?"

"Then it is not so surprising that her Sanctuary is close," he replied with a smile. "The year? It's 1990, as of two months ago."

"Then Athena is still venerated well into the future." It seemed odd to her, when in their country a man had nearly stamped out the old religion in just two decades.

"Not widely. Despite Athena's mission of caring for the entirety of Mankind, we are a rather secretive Order."

"Does she not wish you to spread her message?"

"No," Mu answered quietly, "no, she prefers we keep to ourselves unless needed elsewhere. She's content to remain out of the eyes of the masses."
