Sebastian contra mundum

Characters: Sebastian Flyte
Location: On a screen depicting the place where choices are made.
Time: Whenever it took place and whenever it happens to come on the television.

The screen shows this:

In a room without a door, a young Lord so unfamiliar with all this technology sits, presented with a decision. Sebastian sulks at the predicament, frightened and a little too angry to admit he's scared. He pulls Aloysius closer to him, knots his fingers in the bear's scarf.

At least in confessional, they're only asking you to say what you've done. They're not asking you to think up new sins to commit. And Sebastian loves sinning as much as the next half-heathen, but he feels a little sick right now.

Because here, away from everything, the layers of denial and illusion peel away. Sebastian's hands press into Aloysius, and his head turns down (in confessional, you don't get the comfort of your bear) and his eyes can't look up at the question on the screen.

"I want to be free form the whole lot of them. Get me the Hell away from my family and I don't care."

God, he wants a drink.

And then the clip cuts out.
