Summer Holiday

Characters: [livejournal.com profile] seriousmarauder, [livejournal.com profile] oncemarauder & [livejournal.com profile] madamemoiselle
Location: Their shared vacation world!
Time: uhh idk Sunday
Summary: Sirius and Remus both like where they spent time in the summers as a vacation spot, and Diva just likes to be with people that she knows. So they all get stuck in the English countryside in a house together, and hijinks perhaps ensue.
Warnings: None at the moment!

She had spent most of the day locked up in her mansion-like house in New York, just turning the locket she had been wearing over and over in her hands. It was a surprise when she returned to the Plane to sulk, but a message greeted her. She wasn't really sure what she wanted, in terms of a vacation. Diva only wanted a place with people that she could talk to and not just the people that she was stuck with in New York City.

The locket had been turned in her fingers again while she just thought of that. I want a place with someone else.

It was disappointing when nothing really happened. But she just sighed, not really surprised that the Plane wouldn't do what it promised. She spent time on the Plane, just watching the stars and avoiding everyone else. That got boring after a while, though, so she returned home. Or, tried. She shielded herself from the cold, rushing air, but she hit the ground hard.

The air had left her lungs from the impact, but she sat up after a moment, coughing and looking around. She didn't recognize the place itself, but it looked very...English was the only word for it.

Not again.

"Ne, just--where is this? I'm tired of my home changing, so just keep it the same for once!"

She didn't expect anyone to hear it, but she said it for good measure anyways. Diva stood and brushed herself off, but frowned at the stains on her dress.

Sirius' eyes widened as he put two and two together, and beat Remus to it. He was off the couch in an instant, pulling the door open and tugging his friend into a tight embrace. He couldn't help clinging a little, especially after having gone back to Azkaban.

He hadn't told Remus about his little trip, of course -- he never would've allowed it. But it would be fairly easy for him to figure out, considering the robe he was wearing. He wished, once again, that he'd had the chance to change.

He wasn't sure what he was expecting to find, behind the door, but Sirius nearly knocking him over with a hug wasn't unwelcome. He found himself laughing as he returned the vibrant embrace.

Until he realised the robe beneath his fingers was rough and thin, and when he pulled back he was frowning.

"Sirius..."

Sirius glanced down, avoiding Remus' gaze. "I thought you might, considering where we wound up. It's not exactly the same, but it's pretty close." He glanced over at Diva.

"We haven't explored the place much yet, though. We've just been talking, mostly." It occured to him rather belatedly that something was obviously wrong, and he should have noticed, but he'd been a little distracted by the conversation. He would leave it to Remus (and maybe, with any luck, it would distract Remus from asking about his problems).

[identity profile] oncemarauder.livejournal.com 2010-08-16 08:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Diva caught his gaze immediately, and he felt his lips curve despite himself. People he loved in a place brimming with good memories. But she seemed less - no, he'd ask her later, he wouldn't be distracted.

His gaze turned back to Sirius, and his expression became stern. "Wonderful, we can do that after you tell me when you went back to Azkaban."
seriousmarauder: (prisoner)

Sirius took a step back -- Remus' Stern Stare was a force to be reckoned with. "We'll follow in a bit, Diva." Or maybe he would pop back to the Plane first for a quick Firewhiskey.

"I wasn't there for long, Remus," he explained quietly. "But time stands still while I'm here, and I'm already stuck there forever. Being frozen in time's just like being trapped again, even if I've sort of got my freedom here." It was part of why he hated the Plane, even though he loved it -- it was only a taste of freedom. A hint. But the merger was a different story.

"There was a city there, though. Inside my cell. I mean, not the whole thing, but I can sort of walk through it...I thought it might belong to Diva." He finally met Remus' stare, looking oddly shy. Unlike Diva, it wasn't faked. "I thought you'd be first, but maybe it's because I live with her."

[identity profile] oncemarauder.livejournal.com 2010-08-21 02:43 am (UTC)(link)
His eyes glinted through his worry for both of them, and he nodded. "Be careful, though, no telling what surprises the Plane might have for us."

Then the smile faded, and he crossed his arms, and he listened, expression softening as Sirius spoke. His lips curved at the knowledge of some slight respite. "I'm glad. But Sirius..." He shook his head. "I understand why you went back. But you should have told me. There are spells I could have done, for one thing, to help."

His gaze hardened again. "And you should know full well that you don't have to spare me."

seriousmarauder: (sideways glance)

[personal profile] seriousmarauder 2010-08-22 01:04 am (UTC)(link)
"Would you have let me go if I had told you?" Sirius replied, raising an eyebrow. He really doubted it. "Besides, spells probably won't do much against all those Dementors, unless you've got some way of making a Patronus without a wand," he pointed out.

He stepped closer again, his thin fingers gripping Remus' shoulder. "And I wasn't trying to spare you, but I'd like to. You shouldn't ever have to worry about all this...your Sirius is safe."

[identity profile] oncemarauder.livejournal.com 2010-08-22 06:33 am (UTC)(link)
"Yes, eventually, because you're very stubborn and I do comprehend the logic. And it - would be better than nothing." His own hand rose, faltering slighting before clasping Sirius'. Softly, "You're my Sirius now, too."
seriousmarauder: (charmer)

Sirius simply pulled Remus into another tight hug at that, momentarily lost for words. "I never figured you were the greedy type, Moony," he teased lightly. Then there was another quiet pause. "But I'm not complaining. I like being your Sirius."

[identity profile] oncemarauder.livejournal.com 2010-08-29 12:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Remus hugged him back, his smile faint but warm. "That's good, then, as I don't plan on letting you go."

He pulled back slightly, just enough so that he could meet Remus' eyes. His own were intensely serious (no pun intended), and his fingers reached up to brush against his friend's cheek lightly. "You've got no idea how much that means to me," Sirius murmured, before he captured his friends' lips in a chaste, but heartfelt kiss.

[identity profile] oncemarauder.livejournal.com 2010-09-06 08:43 am (UTC)(link)
His eyes went wide and his face burned like fire and he could swear he felt his heart stop, just for a moment, before he smiled against the kiss. Slightly breathless words stumbled against each other when he spoke. "I - er - I think I have an idea."
seriousmarauder: (slight smile)

[personal profile] seriousmarauder 2010-09-06 03:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Sirius smirked a bit when he pulled back from the kiss, rather pleased with that reaction...though his eyes were a little scared, too. For all his big words and bold moves, he had little confidence when it came to the rest of it. "Let's find Diva, Remus. We can talk later?" Not that Sirius wanted to do much talking. Even despite that reaction, he was certain he was only setting himself up for rejection.

[identity profile] oncemarauder.livejournal.com 2010-09-07 03:08 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, if Remus was blushing before, he was red as a fire crab now. His heart was helpfully beating a mile a minute.

"I. Er. I." He closed his eyes for a moment, regaining a bit of composure; opening them, he spoke with rueful laughter in his voice. "The two of you are going to be the death of me."
seriousmarauder: (charmer)

[personal profile] seriousmarauder 2010-09-07 03:27 am (UTC)(link)
Remus wasn't the only one who was blushing. The thought of spending the night with his two friends (not to mention kissing them) was very, very tempting. But he shook his head. "I won't be doing much sleeping here, to be honest. At least not in human form, anyway. Dreams are less...complicated, when I'm Padfoot," he explained. And by complicated, he meant terrifying. Diva knew about his nightmares, of course, but he didn't want to worry Remus.

"Kissing, on the other hand, I haven't got a problem with," he added lightly. If Diva was actually attracted to both of them, and Remus was interested in the idea...well, he wasn't going to argue.

[identity profile] oncemarauder.livejournal.com 2010-09-18 04:47 pm (UTC)(link)
He returned the embrace immediately, despite the discomposure. He wouldn't push for what was bothering Diva, but he would provide any comfort he could - and he always enjoyed being close regardless.

A soft, indignant chuckle was his first response to the confession, and then a thoughtful frown as she continued. "Perhaps the Machine is blending fond memories?" Was it capable of such a thing? Who knew, really.

And then, with a rather coy smile despite the hue of his cheeks, "And no, Diva, I wouldn't mind."
seriousmarauder: (sideways glance)

[personal profile] seriousmarauder 2010-09-18 04:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Sirius was surprised by that coy smile--he didn't know Remus had it in him. Or maybe he'd just never noticed. Either way, he was noticing now. "Don't you two do anything I wouldn't do," he replied, winking. The more selfish side of him was a bit jealous that coy smile wasn't directed at him, but he had signed up for this. Whatever "this" even was.

He broke that train of thought to consider Diva's statement. "It could be. It's not exactly the same as our memories though, is it? Maybe there's only so much the Machine can replicate properly."

[identity profile] oncemarauder.livejournal.com 2010-09-21 06:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Remus snorted, lips curving in a smirk as he met Sirius' eyes. "The answer, Diva, is very, very little."

He felt utterly out of his depth - and he was certain that was obvious, despite the playfulness - but for once, he was enjoying it. He wouldn't at all mind losing himself in this place for a while, with two people he loved, two people he could trust...

Yes. He really could use this vacation.
seriousmarauder: (charmer)

[personal profile] seriousmarauder 2010-09-21 07:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Any hint of jealousy disappeared when Remus sent a smirk in his direction. Sirius returned it with a rather wicked smirk of his own, and nodded. “Full marks, Moony, you know me well.” Remus wasn’t the only one who had paid attention over the years, though.

“I think, however, that Remus here might appreciate a little romance first before we all hop into bed, Diva,” he pointed out. He was more than willing to control his lack of patience (or attempt to, anyway), if it meant his friend would be more comfortable.

[identity profile] oncemarauder.livejournal.com 2010-10-02 04:13 am (UTC)(link)
That smirk sent a shiver down his spine, one that wasn't at all unpleasant. That was strange, and welcome, and still his skin burned with uncertainty. Even beyond lack of experience, lack of confidence, lack of trust - in himself, in the world, not his friends - there were practical matters to consider, and...

Well, he wasn't going to consider them now, he was going to wink at Sirius and take his hand and follow along behind Diva and enjoy it all while it lasted.

"It did ask us where we wanted to be," he mused.
