Jamie hadn't been sure. He knows that Damon hadn't been to Earth, but it was possible - if unlikely - that Damon had managed to start traveling since the last time they talked. It doesn't appear that is the case, however, and there's a very soft 'oh'.

"I think so," he replies to the question, sounding a little bit uncertain. "At least, Oliver said it was likely that's what happened when I ran across him in Scotland. Well, he wasn't in Scotland, but I still saw him."

The idea did somewhat make sense - once it was explained to him. And there really wasn't anything else that fit, so he was willing to go along with the concept. It occurs to Jamie then that Damon may be someone who might know a little bit more about mergers. Even if he doesn't, it surely wouldn't hurt to ask.

"Do ye know about how the mergers work, Damon?"
