Characters: Dino Cavallone, Marluxia
Location: A plaza
Time: After this post.
Summary: Dino gets Tsuna back. Marluxia rids himself of an annoying Dusk. Everyone wins.
Warnings: None.
As the caretaker (though Marluxia preferred Lord) of Castle Oblivion, he was technically not supposed to be here - in the World that Never Was - unless there was some dire emergency. Unlike some of his subordinates, he was never one for shirking his duties to pursue individual (and wholly unrelated) interests.
But in this particular part of the place, there was no one to see him arrive. The Heartless and lesser Nobodies that regularly prowled around there scattered as the Graceful Assassin stepped out of the portal into the plaza. The Dark City was much the same, despite Marluxia's absence from it for a little less than a year. Silent skyscrapers. Deserted streets. And as always, the glow of the heart-shaped moon overhead.
The only thing which was different about this visit was the Dusk which entered after Marluxia. The silver-hued Nobody stayed near obediently, a simple strip of black cloth around one of its wrists. It was quite convenient that Tsuna took this form in his reality; he would've had to do more explaining than he liked if the other was anything other than a Nobody rarely taken notice of.
But as it was, all he had to do now was wait for Dino to show up and take the boy from him.

Explaining what he was here to do took longer. He had told Romario that this might end in Tsuna being returned to him, but doing so in a way that omitted mention of the Astral Plane was...challenging.
"Boss, you sure this is a good idea? If this is the kidnapper, wouldn't it be better to capture them?" He hadn't been able to avoid taking at least Romario along. It would have created even more fuss if he had tried to slip away with at least one of his men along. Telling Romario that they were going to get Tsuna back had made him nervous and Dino knew that if hadn't forbidden Romario from doing so, he would have back-up whether he wanted it or no.
"I already told you, this is a...complicated situation. I'm not even sure if they'll really be here." Dino sighed and got out of the car.
"Then why..?"
"Trust me, Romario." Dino said to his second in command, "I'll get Tsuna back somehow." And he set out into the thong of tourists that always seemed to surround this part of the town. It didn't take him long to spot a familair head of pink hair, even in the crowds.
"Marluxia!"

He silently commanded the Dusk, which had started burbling quietly at the sight of Dino as if in recognition, to follow him as he walked towards the other man. "Hello again, Dino," he said.

He could see someone behind him, but whoever it was kept shimmering in and out of focus, almost ghost like. It didn't even look remotely human.
"Is that..?"
no subject
A single glance at the Dusk was enough to make it walk forwards, back to Dino and his reality. Marluxia watched it go with mild interest; even with his ability to visit other worlds, it was strange how borders of universes could be crossed so easily.

"Tsuna!" He darted out and grab Tsuna's arm to keep the boy from falling. Tsuna just blinked at him blearily for a few seconds before speaking.
"Dino-san...? What..?" Tsuna looked around, seeming to come back to himself. "How did we get here? Did Reborn do something?"
"Not this time," Dino assured him. He glanced behind him, "Tsuna, go wait over by that fountain. I'll explain everything in a minuet."
"Dino-san?" Tsuna looked up at him questioningly.
"Trust me," he told the younger boy. Tsuna nodded, then left. As soon as Dino was assured that he was safe, he turned back to the Marluxia.
"Thank you."
