Most of the people Oliver ran into were probably not opposed to his presence. Asch knew this place was dangerous, however, and the last thing he wanted was to make things more complicated by having an off-worlder rampant in his reality. That was why he refused to let Oliver deal with this alone, why Asch stayed at his side even if neither of them felt agreeable after that fight.

It wouldn't matter in the end. Why get upset over it? Why should he allow anyone to get under his skin and find out how tentative his grip on the situation really was?
