Oliver watched Kanon's approach, rather unsettled at the sight of him. Kanon's attitude was too threatening for his peace of mind. Although he knew it was irrational, he had been expecting Saga's brother to be more like him. But he could see now that Saga and Kanon were as night and day as Oliver and his own brother.

When Kanon mentioned Saga's "girlfriend named Morgana," Oliver almost choked. He had to fight back a cry of surprise. Why did Kanon know about that? And why couldn't there be visitors? Better yet, what happened when there were visitors? He considered coming out of his hiding place immediately and attempting to put all the blame on himself to get Saga out of it, but watching how Kanon could see right through Saga, he knew that would never work. So, for the moment, he continued watching, his mouth dry with nervousness.
