Now that it's found dinner, the monkey doesn't seem terribly inclined to let it get away. It chases after its chosen victims, not caring in what direction they're heading.

Perhaps tearing one of them limb from limb might be in order. Or softening them up, perhaps, by pounding them into the ground. The monkey has so many options to choose from, once it catches up. At the rate of speed it's achieving, that might very well be sooner rather than later, unless something's done about it.
