It's a question that only comes about when people stop to really think about Brax's name and heritage. Bernice, obviously, never has bothered, or at least she has such an intuitive understanding of Braxiatel that she knows she is free to use whatever name best suits the tone (usually sarcastic) that she wishes to throw his way. Most others don't consider it. So Braxiatel let's a dispassionate hand dismiss the concern, and he says, "In a sense, 'Irving' is my actual name, at least as much as 'Braxiatel' is. 'Irving' is the name I choose for myself. Both are used in equal measure by friends and enemies of various degrees, so it's really not something I concern myself with."
