It was one thing to always keep one eye on the Plane - or half a mind, as it were. Documents, papers, forms, reports, going over lists and variables and all sorts of data. Business as usual, really... however she always kept that link going just in case someone needed to speak with her. When the hologram showed up, she ignored it, thinking that it was the rough equivalent of spam.

Cold coffee. That wouldn't do. She sighed, shifting her attention from the Plane back to her home reality. However, instead of returning to her full senses, her senses failed.

Cold. Black. Like the space between dimensions, when working as a group and slipping between...

and then bright. She shook her head, wincing in the sunlight. What had just happened? Why was she on a beach?

What was more concerning was the vague fuzzy feeling in her mind where she should have been able to start scanning for realities. Pulling out her cell phone yielded little more than "no signal".

Distress clouded her mind for a moment, and she could feel her lips curling into a snarl as dark thoughts rose in her mind. This was the last thing she needed right now - there was too much to do and too little time to do it in!
