It's entirely possible to be transported and not know it, he thinks. Granted, he wasn't exactly conscious the time it happened to him, but it's still a possibility.

He breaks off as Oliver visibly spooks at the idea of getting the Doctor, and holds up his hands in a placating gesture. They've got a light wrapping of gauze around the palms, mostly covering up some abrasions - at least, judging by the skin on his fingers just above the bandages. "Aye, all right! Forget I said anything!"
