Time: Presumably a day or so after Ray ditches the body in his trunk.
Summary: Ray passes on information to his Guv re: the latest plotty post.
Warnings: Log contains Gene and Ray, which means it is too awesome for most mortal eyes.
His shoes were still stained with black from stomping around amidst dead bodies. It didn't matter much to him, no one would really notice except himself, and he tried his damnedest not to think about it anyway. It still made him feel just that tiny bit sick, and the fact something could shake him annoyed the ever loving shit out of him.
But he had no problems focusing his thoughts elsewhere. While he would have preferred telling Gene what he needed to outside of CID, he really didn't have many options. Couldn't say shit at the Railway Arms, couldn't just stroll up and go 'say, guv, how 'bout you and me hang at me flat for a few hours', and like hell was he going to go around blathering on about things on the plane where any curious party could just step right up and stick their nose into things. It left CID as the only option, and he waited until things didn't seem so busy, when Tyler didn't seem particularly interested in having some inane debate with the guv over some random bullshit.
Ray slid into Gene Hunt's office and closed the door behind him, double checking that neither Tyler or Cartwright were poking around, waiting for an opportune moment to step in and be distracting.
"Guv, I got somethin' you might be interested in."
It occurred to him Gene might already know all about it, and that the guv had either shown up before he and Chris had or shown up after. But he figured there was no harm in checking - the harm would be in if he just sat around, twiddling his thumbs, assuming that Gene knew everything that went on on the plane.
