She smiles, briefly, at that. Humanity has always reached for the beauty of the unknown; it's one of the things she's proudest of in her species. They may be capable of bewildering horrors, but the good has always managed to make up for that.

"Maybe you will, sometime," she says. "Right now, it seems to me that anything might be possible."
