For Booster, it wasn't exactly unusual for him to hear her words in English. Rather than the Plane being responsible for translating her speech, he figured that it was the technology in his own suit (with help from Skeets). The problem was, it only tended to work in one direction and didn't suddenly instruct him how to speak Italian or Japanese.
That was what was weird. She understood him anyways, despite definitely speaking fake-Italian and English.
"Wait, you can understand me? I guess you speak English, but---No, wait, what are you doing in Italy in the 15th century? I don't think you're supposed to be here..."
Booster tapped at his wrist at one of his sensors and communicators, but Skeets vocalized what he had been searching for first.
"" Skeets started, but Booster stopped him. It was one of his moments of realization and seeing as there were monks coming out of the carved eaves to chase him away, he had just an idea of what could be wrong here. A fairly modern Japanese girl in 15th century Italy was the kind of thing he would expect from that place.
"Hey, uh..." he started, scratching his head, "You're not from the...place with the stars, are you?"
